Victory Group IP September Conferences Taiyuan (CTF), Beijing CIPAC and Yokohoma AIPPI

CTF TAIYUAN - September 5-8

The team of Victory Group set off to the annual China Trademark Festival, this year held in the historical province of Shaanxi, Taiyuan City. The conference was held at the Jinyang Lake International Convention Centre.

The team led by exhibited throughout the 4 days, meeting with new and existing associates in the historic city of Taiyuan.

Victory Group also hosted a forum during the CTF, entitled Financing for a Win-Win Future: International; Pathways for Intellectual Property and Tech Transfer. The Forum was led by Victory Groups Mr Leo Li, General Manager of our HK Region operations.

Keynote Speeches were given by Du Yueyang, Senior Deputy General Manager, Investment Banking Department II, China Galaxy Securities, speaking on the topic of "Practical Applications of Intellectual Property Asset Securitization in China", with Amy giving her talk on

"Financing and Technology Licensing Solutions for the Internationalization of Science and Technology Enterprises in Macau".

The Seminar Topic was ‘China Domestic Updates and Observations on Intellectual Property Securitization, moderated by Zhao Junjie, Deputy Secretary-General of the Intellectual Property Protection Branch of the China Software Industry Association. Panelists were Li Xiaoyue, Vice President of the Intellectual Property Law Research Association of the Hebei Law Society, Liu Yi, Director of the Intellectual Property Law Committee of the Changsha Lawyers Association &

Cen Han He of Ho Le Cheung Law Firm, Hong Kong.

A book presentation was also given, launching the title ‘Captain Talks Copyright’ : The Road to Advancement for compound Legal Talents.

This was followed by the second section, entitled International Perspectives on Tech Transfer, moderated by Mr Sun Cheng Shan, International IP Director of Macao Victory Group. Guests on the panel included Mr Nilanshu Shekar, Managing Partner KAnalysis, India, Mr Divyendu Verna, Head of Global Patents Audiri Vox, Dubai, Mr Francesco Palombi, Founder & Managing Partner , Benches Law , Italy, and Thomas Griffith, Managing Principle, DCC, Singapore.

CIPAC- Beijing - Sept 11-12

The team then embarked on towards the nations capital, Beijing for the China Annual Intellectual Property Conference (CIPAC), was hosted yet again in Beijing, now in its 14th Iteration. Victory Group held a booth and exchanged with colleagues and associates. Alongside CIPAC was the 10th Annual Beijing Festival was also the 10th Edition of the Beijing Fashion Festival.

AIPPI- YOKOHOMA , JAPAN

Following from Beijing, Ms Amy Wong and Mr Cheng Shan ( Sunny) set off to Yokohoma, where the AIPPI Annual Congress was held. Ms Amy Wong participated in the Standing Committee on Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Mr Cheng Shan (Sunny) met with colleagues and associates from around the world. Visits to the various hospitality suits as well as receptions hosted by various firms.
