Seminar & Training delivered to over 50 Enterprises at the Macao Innovation Tribe!

April 22, 2021- On the eve of the opening of our new Guangzhou offices, a special training on Intellectual Property Rights for Bay Area enterprises was held in the multifunctional conference room on the first floor of the Macau Youth Innovation Tribe.

Among the speeches given included Ms Amy Wong (President,Macao Victory International),Ms Linda Ling Ren Deputy General Manager of Macau Victory International , Mr Leo Liu, Liu Zengjian (Partner, Macau Victory International )and Mr Paul Bu (Chief Patent Consultant of Macau Victory International).

Ms Linda Ling Ren , (Deputy General Manager of Macau Victory International , used real case examples to "show up" and sort out the "mistakes" and "pitfalls" that companies often make in contract management with a view to reminding companies to strengthen their awareness of prevention methods and strategies, improve management capabilities, and effectively identify rights risks.

Mr Leo Liu, took "Patents as the Wings for Enterprises to Soar" as the theme. Shared from the case of "selfie sticks", expounding on the important value of patent knowledge and application to the economic benefits and innovation development of enterprises, and sharing tips on patents common misunderstandings with Patents, and brought clarity on explaining the main content and attention issues of technical patent submissions so as to provide practical guidance for enterprises to be able to obtain patents.

Mr Paul Bu, with his years of experience in European and overseas Intellectual Property Matters brought cross-border intellectual property practice topics to help entrepreneurs understand and master international intellectual property rules, reminding entrepreneurs of the importance of strategic planning for patent filing and cultivating global vision and thinking, and actively exploring overseas intellectual property rights as well as how to better participate in the global economy and develop appropriate cooperation.

The overall event was held preliminary to the launch of the Greater Bay Intellectual Property Mediation Centre, and Macao Victory's new base in Guangzhou.

As part of the implemention of the National Intellectual Property Development Strategic Plan, The National Government aims accelerate the construction of intellectual property rights, strengthen the creation, management and application of intellectual property rights, help enterprises actively respond to the new international competition situation, enhance overseas intellectual property distribution and protection awareness, and enhance core competitiveness. This training was guided by several organisations:

• Guangzhou Guangdong-Macao Youth Innovation Technology Co., Ltd.

• Science and Technology Association and

• Huangpu District Council for the Promotion of International Trade (Guangzhou Development Zone Council for the Promotion of International Trade)

• Guangzhou Market Intermediary Service Industry Association.

Li Zhan, (Vice chairman of the Huangpu District Council for the Promotion of International Trade), Huang Chunfang, (Executive Vice Chairman of Guangzhou Market Intermediary Service Industry Association), and Mr Liu Yuemin, (Deputy General Manager of Guangzhou Aoqing Technology Development Co., Ltd. ) were among the distinguished guests, together with more than 50 business representatives in attendance from and around Guangzhou City.
