On December 25, 2020, Mr Xi Hanchuan, Vice president of the Macau Youth International Group and General Manager of Guangzhou Aoqing Technology Development Co., Ltd., signed a lease contract with Ms Amy Wong, General Manager of Macau Victory Intellectual Property Agency Co., Ltd. as well as the Chairwoman of Macau Intellectual Property Research Association.

Macau Victory will lead the 'Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Intellectual Property Mediation Center' as well as draw upon its IP expertise to budding entrepreneurs in a range of industries in the Macau Youth Tribe, Huangpu District, Guangzhou. Mr Jin Weigang, Assistant to the Dean of Tsinghua Pearl River Delta Research Institute and President of the Macau Youth International Group, witnessed the signing.

Ms Amy Wong commented that she values ​​the industry and business environment of Huangpu District very much, and supports the Guangdong-Macao cooperation platform created by the Macao Youth Tribe.

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Intellectual Property Mediation Center is led by the Guangdong Intellectual Property Research Association, the International Dispute Resolution and Risk Management Association, and the Macau Intellectual Property Research Association.

As a joint, non-profit organization voluntarily formed for intellectual property work in Hong Kong, Macau and the Greater Bay Area, the Mediation Center aims to facilitate and serve the docking of mediation services between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau, improve mediation service levels as well as the credibility of mediation in the field of Intellectual Property in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and to promote mutual verification of mediation rules and results in the three jurisdictions.

In addition, the Mediation Center will create cross-border and international dispute resolution services.

If intellectual property disputes arise, parties can choose to use this service to resolve disputes in the Mainland, Macau or Hong Kong in a non-litigous manner.

At the same time, the Mediation Center will also initiate the construction of a professional and credible online mediation service cloud platform, gathering professionals from universities, courts, law firms, research institutes and other institutions, so that the parties can mediate intellectual property disputes without having to meet face to face.
